Boyd T. Appler - Starting at the front of my binders of throwing cards we find Boyd T. Appler a magician from the Washington/Baltimore area. Little is known of him and a search on Ask Alexander turns up his name once or twice. He is apparently part of the Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center as something on him is identified as being in "Box 3." He advertised himself as the "Modern Mystic Marvel." The design for the back was used by
Bicycle from 1913 until 1939 when it was discontinued.
